PL2100 imagines the futuristic swamp as a biomechanical ecosystem. The backdrop narrative combines science and design, presenting a fictional world where technology and nature are fused together in the built-environment. The project is outputted as an audiovisual installation that reacts to the accompanying botanica style music, resulting in an immersive and interactive experience for the SCI-ARC F&E24' thesis exhibition.

As the central work during my masters thesis, I was responsible from the development of the narrative world to  iterations of the technical prototypes for this audiovisual system, focusing on dynamic toggling between environmental states based on music tracks. To ensure that both the technical and creative aspects came together seamlessly, I also handled the installation of the media system.

The demo experiment merges physical gestures with digital storytelling through an interactive audiovisual installation. Built on an integrated pipeline of Unreal Engine and TouchDesigner, the system renders photorealistic environments with responsive elements, while OSC, DMX, and MIDI protocols synchronize visuals, spatial audio, and lighting. This technical framework demonstrates a scalable mechanism for participants to directly influence the mechanical alligator's narrative through their movements, creating a dynamic interplay between human agency and digital ecosystem.
